A letter sent to the press, encouraging reviewers to come and see Lancashire Hot Pot (nearly all of them didn't) and to look kindly on us (none of them did).

Notes regarding the running order for A Fistful of Dossers have been updated, on the show facts page.
Scripts for Campus Walkabout With Jesus (Fanfare for the Common Cold), Julius Caesar and Bog Panel (both from The Road To Moreambe Pier) added to the sketch database.
Script and updated info for "Orangutan" (a.k.a. "The Ourang-Outang") from Lancashire Hot Pot and The Road To Morecambe Pier.
Nine new scripts from Ten added to the sketch database, nearly completing the set for that show. Specifically: French Song, Middle East, Nature Ramble, Newspaper Seller, Roget's Thesaurus, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes meets Jeremy Thorpe and Trumpet.
Scripts replaced for both War and Peace and Miracle, as performed in Ten. The accompanying notes for the W&P Ten script have also been rewritten.
Sketch database entries updated for following Ten sketches : Puritan Mealtime, Cathy & Clare, Cossacks, Celtic quickie and Nelly of Aquitaine.

Corrections and additions made to the 1987-1990 Edinburgh shows :
- Socks and Violence (previously incorrectly identified as the 1987 show) now correctly listed as the 1989 revue. Thanks to Jackie Mulligan.
- The 1987 show is now known to be Fine Lines Rough Sketches, thanks to a ticket stub from Keith Macdougall. The "review" of this show, written by Keith, has now been correctly assigned (previously, it was incorrectly linked to Socks and Violence).
- The 1990 Fringe Programme entry for The Friends of Sheepy Sheep. Worth noting that the show was actually staged under the banner of The Lovely Plays Promotion Concern.
- Additions to the cast lists for Socks and Violence and The Friends of Sheepy Sheep. Thanks again to Jackie Mulligan.

Private rehearsal of Ralph and Frances added to the Left Handed Screwdriver Show recordings, courtesy of Tim Stevens, who says: The reason I go "oh shit" right at the beginning is because the block corridor phone rings just as we were about to start (you can hear it if you listen carefully). Arguably the funniest bit of the sketch...

The Macdougall archive has also provided improved recordings of the following:

Golden Mouldies performance recording from 1977. Corrects the speed (the old version was at least 10% too fast) and eliminates tape hum.
Kojak-Columbo rehearsal recording from early 1976. Longer and better quality recording. The sketch is as bad as ever.
Interview with the LURG football team on STS, after their match against URB. Better recording quality, but we still lost.
Playwright interview sketch on STS, featuring Richard Russell and Liz Fowler in 1977. Still a bit weird.
Tim Stevens and Marion Sumerfield preview Golden Mouldies and Edinburgh '77 on STS. As before, one was great and the other was crap (GM and Vomit that is, not Tim and Marion ...).

October 2018

Left Handed Screwdriver Show recording speed fixed. Fragments from an alternative copy of the original show recording have revealed that the commonly distributed version of the show tape was about 10% too fast. The recording has been digitally corrected accordingly. A missing recording of Tim's Sundew (instrumental) has also been added to the Screwdriver audio.
The History/Timeline page has been updated with respect to the 1987 Edinburgh revue, based on a contemporary report from Keith Macdougall, who saw the show with fellow founder member Richard Russell.
Some of the photos from the kids charity shows (1978) have been renamed, based on information from Alistair and the original script for the pantomime.

Various photos from Keith of the 10th Anniversary reunion. Appropriately, ten new photos of Ten, plus six photos of various members leaving Bailrigg the following day.

Letters relating to Edinburgh 1977: LURG joins Fringe Soc, Dec 1976 and first letter re Vomit Hall. Interesting to note that the hall's charges jumped from a £9/£6 split to a flat rate of £10, in the space of just 3 weeks (inflation was running at about 16% in 1977).
Annual awards moved to their own page. Two 1977 award certificates added, plus results of several other early awards.
The recording dates of several URB/STS appearances in 1977 have been identified and the Audio : Miscellaneous page updated accordingly.

Contrary to previous assumptions, a newly uncovered document suggests there was no 1992 Nuffield revue, implying that the Group probably ran out of steam after Iota, in 1991. History, show list and unanswered questions pages amended accordingly.
A previously overlooked ad-hoc Lonsdale intro week (1978) performance has been added, including running order and scribbled casting notes.

Kojak Columbo rehearsal audio. Historically significant as the earliest extant LURG rehearsal recording, circa Feb/Mar 1976. Also, the only recorded version of this sketch, as it was in the "lost" first half. Thanks to Tim for this terrible recording of a terrible sketch.
Alternative recording of the John and Mary sketch, made backstage during performance of Can We Have Our Money Back. Better quality than version from the main show tape, which suffers from use of amplification (the performers were off-stage). Again, from Tim.
Free Tenth Unit audio, re-recorded from the original performance reel-to-reel tape. Significantly less tape hiss than previous version, which originated from a 2nd or 3rd generation cassette copy.
A Spring 1989 Nuffield programme has been found, including an entry for what would be The Fish They Couldn't Hang. Confusingly, the programme lists it as both "Revue '89" and "Revue '88". It also provides the performances dates, which were previously unknown.
